The X-Files Forum has now been updated to the newest and most secure version of the software it runs on.

Also as a further security measure any new members will have to be approved by an Administrator before they join.

Stay tuned for updates.

Whatever it takes, dude.

I don't watch snuff films, excessively violent films, rape scenes or a whole lot of porn... so how did I get so densitised? Oh yeah...real life. That's more of a downer than any movie. - Ajay

And exactly why our moderators have the power/authority to ban such trolls/spammers. Wink

Then why do you need to approve members first, if you can always delete them. When I was younger, whenever I wanted to register to a forum where the members have to be approved, I always thought the mods would either forget to do that or not log on in a long time. Maybe some other people think that, or see the approving thing as a harder way to register, and lose interest in registering.

Also, I see there were some kinds of contests on this forum before. Is there any chance they will appear again. Maybe it could boost some interest.

I'd be happy to create a new competition/contest. How much prize money are you going to put up? Grin

I didn't realise anything was won, I just thought it was for fun. How about the member who wins gets to choose into what his title will be changed?

We have had a few comps in the history of this place. Peas won being the person who put up the 20,000th post. He got a CD full of every XF-related sound recording I had (at the time) and my silly ass sent it from the US to Australia via Regular Mail. Poor guy had to wait a few months for that disc to arrive. Embarrassed

The forum was fairly new, and we felt it was a monumental occasion to have collectively 20,000 posts here. It could have been anyone who posted regularly that actually made the 20,000th one, and Peas was the guy who did it.
